Environmental Justice

Covering the HEART of the Blackbelt, which includes Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Sumter, and Wilcox counties.  Environmental injustices have lingered in this area for years. We have witnessed inadequate access to healthy food, inadequate transportation, air and water pollution, water infrastructure,  and unsafe homes. Our organization has partnered with environmental advocates and organizations locally and across the nation, including the Uniontown champion group, Blackbelt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice.
