About

Established in 2019 and headquartered in Uniontown, Alabama, BlackBelt Women Rising, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving individuals of African American descent and other individuals  dealing with crisis.  The focus areas are domestic violence and sexual assault, HIV awareness, poverty, and the environment. We will be providing  culturally specific sensitive services through prevention education, court advocacy, as well as our training workshops and presentations for other shelters, members of the LGBTQ+ community,  other community organizations, health, legal, and law enforcement professionals.
